Akron firefighters attend Merriman event

WEST AKRON — The Merriman’s monthly Picnic on the Porch event took place July 30 with firefighters from the Akron Fire Department’s Highland Square Station. According to Karen Robertson, director of marketing at The Merriman, the event is usually attended by the residents and their families, but this month, the Merriman decided to invite the firefighters to thank them for their service. Robertson is shown with the firefighters.
